I moved things off the lide of my garbage bin and there he was. I needed to get into the trash so Imoved him.
I think he looks better on the recycle bin with that green background. I really don't understand the design of the head of a praying mantis.
The blue spruce is putting out pine cones. I really have never notice it before but there were birds up there picking off the seeds from them. I dnon't get that many on the grounds so they must eat them a lot. There are a lot of them on the tree this year.
Looking down on the garden you can see it is starting to fade. I will start cutting back the lilies and phlox now as they are all done. I have a couple of peonies that are partially cut and I will take them down too. I see I am getting the gray dust on the zinnias so they will go pretty fast.
