Monday's a Go......

It doesn't look too encouraging when you see this in early morning. We are to have heat and high humidity today.  The sun is out already and it is warm.

The peony stem that I clipped off with the string trimmer did survive. It is a pretty red that grows in the front yard. I need to get a photo of the bloom on my grandmother's red peony to see what the comparison will reveal.

The whitish iris are laying on the ground as there too many blooms opened for the s tem to hold them up.  I cut blue flag iris to bring in to blend in with th iris.

While placing the grill cover back on the grill, I looked up to see this. I have been trying to see it in the night but the clouds are always in the way.

We are busy this morning taking my wife's friend to the hospital for chemo. She had a grocery list that I took care of for both her and for us.  We made a journey to the bank, north part of city, and it sits next to  Krispy Kremes, and we are back home.  We wait for her call to come pick her up again to return her to her apartment. It makes for a long day but we are so glad we can do it.  Things seem worse instead of better as people decide to break into malls and steal things.  The Target stores and one grocery store downtown are stores of necessity and yet they were damaged and looted badly. Those who choose to steal and destroy do not know how that will effect so many law abiding people.

Our death counts are getting smaller day by day.  Only 5 deaths, who are real people, seems to be a better report for us.

Thanks for stopping by ttoday.

What a blessing you both are to your friend. I know after going thru chemo treatment that she is so thankful you picked up groceries for her. I enjoyed seeing your various blooms. That is great that the peony opened up in the vase! Fortunately we are far away from the rioting and looting taking place in Atlanta. There is talk by medical experts that the protesters could come down with coronavirus within the next 2 weeks from being in large crowds of people. That will affect all of us.

Larry, what you and your wife have been doing to help your friend is very special and surely she appreciates you both. In these troubled times, neighbors helping neighbors and friends is the best news. Those who are calling themselves protestors are nothing more than rioters and looters and it's unfortunate that their selfish acts are harming so many even in their own communities. Enough said on that subject because I would much prefer to read good news and there is much of that, just not always shown.
