As the sun was setting the colors of course kept changing. The high heat has caused us to have storm threats and we are the observers of all that is going around us.
The colors of the sky in the opposite direction were rich and pure. We got about a half inch of rain from all that was going on around us. Flooding was for certain in some of the counties south of us.
The past days of rain have destroyed the blooms of the pink rose and cancelled out the last of the peony season. The grass is growing great and the phlox in the above photo are doing so great. The phlox was a good idea but they are doing so well that I am having to move iris away from them and probably have to cut back on them too.
We took the shot for shingles and we are about done with the side effects. We didn't go to church this morning as of the second day we are still stiff and sore in our legs and back. I am hoping tomorrow will be a good day. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow so that will ruin the day for me. I have some garden work planned to do in the morning before I go so I can feel like I have accomplished something for Monday.
Thanks for checking in today.
