This is just a spot to visit, of one who is on a journey. You can see my projects, plants, family, pets, artworks, antiques and anything else that comes along.

Miniature Mania.........
I found these small clay buildings stored in a coffee mug that I had brought home from school. I guess I wanted students to think about making things in miniature from clay. These were examples for them to view before they started their own project. The top one is suppose to be the out house for this set and the small one a dog house.

My visit at the neighbor's house.........
My neighbor is part Lakota Indain so she has that theme showing up in a lot of the things that she owns.
Another view from the backyard of my neighbor. The sky in this photo is so subtle and smooth.
I took a picture of this garden chair for any of you gardeners who need a new idea for your yard. The bone laying next to the chair is not a dinosaur bone but the dog bone for Penny the terrier.
I am back in the subbing job again today working with band and music students throughout the day. No, I am just doing study halls as I sing but not in tune and I don't play a musical instrument. Thanks for stopping by today.

Freeze Dried........
These three flowers are held in suspension. They stay just like this day and night. I would think they would have shriveled up by now but maybe the cold is just keeping them in this state. I saw them the other day outside my upstairs window and wondered why I was seeing color on the trellis.
The farmer raked up the loose stuff and put it into sort of windrows so the baler could pick it up to make 14 bales. I see that all of it wasn't picked up. It reminds me of a butch haircut with all the stalks cut evenly from the distance of the ground. He will be back with machinery to chop and bury this all without plowing it.
A fall looking sky in Iowa on a Saturday afternoon. The grass is still green, the river birch is bare, and the bales are sitting in state ready to be picked up by a tractor and fork lift. This is a typical view of Iowa right now with the lighter colored sky and no crops in the field.
I am (babysitting) watching a study hall today. It will be boring but I am sure a challenge. My first study hall is just 10 students so I am not having a tough first hour. It does get more crowded as the day goes on with large groups of students.
Thanks for stopping by the post today. Have a good week.

Penny......
This is the neighbor's dog that we took care of the last two days. Penny is a Jack Russell with a lot of energy.
She barks and climbs and jumps and seems to be such a happy dog. Sometimes when you are sitting on a couch she wants to climb up and get on top of your head. She was so glad to have her person come home late Saturday afternoon.
Thanks for stopping by my post today.

Saturday's Shots.......
The neighbor's visiting cat now has his own self feeder. He inherited it from Yellow Kitty. Up to four other neighbor cats do feed from it once in a while.
Another kitty that is so scared of us strangers but will feed at the door when we are not looking. She doesn't know we are looking at her through our front door.
This is a reposting of one of the others that does hang around in good weather. She is not afraid of dogs as was raised with five or more dogs inside of the neighbor's house.
Babysitting the dog next door, doing some work for getting Della's artwork, matting it for shipping, and getting a box ready to ship it are a few of the things I am doing. It doesn't seem bad outside but 51 degrees is cool enough for me. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your weekend is a good one for you.

Stark Reality.......
The side yard looks bad as all the leaves of the river birch are now gone. My bike rests against it and as you can see my neighbor's junk pile is visible too. Trees and foliage helps one to cover the views of unwanted sights of the neighbor's things. In the fall it all comes to view.
The light shines through the burning bush as these leaves seem to be hanging on as long as they can.
I have the day off so I will be doing different jobs all day. We may take off to the bookstore in the afternoon for a day away from the house and town. We have babysitting duties this weekend for the neighbor's terrier. There was a death in her family and she needs to be gone for a couple of days. Penny the terrier will be so glad for our visits as she doesn't like living along in her big house.
We have cool weather so I won't be outside to mow today. I hope that we do warmup a little in the next couple of weeks so I can finish up the last of my outside work. Thanks for stopping by today
