Friday’s Finds...

A shot taken with my old camera worked but its quality is low.  I do like the special mood created by the automatic camera.  The angel in the background seems surreal with the bird in the foreground. The only one thing is the curved bar that holds a feeder. There is a real struggle for the eye to find much of anything in focus.

There is one large purple zinnia in this photo.  The larger size is rare in this planting with most of them being the smaller size flower. That purple is a great color.

This variety of daylily is about done for the summer. It has done well in two different locations in the yard.

The wax begonia is holding its own in the front door porch area.  It is just a nook that helps protect people from getting wet at the front door.  The begonia gets most shard there but does have full son for about an hour or so in the afternoon.

This new phlox has a name that was done because of its colors.  It is called “flame blue”.

I planted this cockscomb last summer in the front flower bed.  I have it coming up volunteer in a lot of places.  I was pulling it at first in early spring as it was looking like an orange weed.

I worked at the old place this morning and it is good to be home now.  We are getting hot weather again with the low nineties.  It is State Fair weeks so it can get really hot while being at the fair.  We may go this year as we live about eight miles away from it.
