It is looking a little ruggid but still has great color. One really cold night and they will be all gone. I don't see any reason to take them down until they are dead or close to being dead.
A mural of famous authors was placed above the coffee shop area of the bookstore. It does help create a good atmosphere for drinking coffee and eating a cookie too.
The thing that is wrong with this photo is the neighbor who is mowing his yard again. I have lots of things to do and I will not double mow my yard in one week. Our grass is growing fast but not that fast. I noticed at the old place that the grass is a lot thinner now with the cooler temperatures. I have some more pavers to put down today, later in the afternoon.

Goodness, Those Iowa Lawn mowers. Talk about OCD! I get it though.. Sometimes the grass grows REALLY fast here. But I think HOS should allow for busy people to mow their lawns once a week. People are busy and go to jobs and stuff.
Don and his wife mow their lawn three times sometimes in the spring. They also treat it with some lawn treatment service. ( herbicied or fertalizer, who knows... maybe both!) It is a rare day ( like today!) when Wellman is quiet in the middle of the day on a weekend. Usually there is some mower/chainsaw /hammering sound going on. Today, the rain or threat of rain is keeping things quiet.

That is a gorgeous bloom. I was at the bookstore a few weeks ago, and they have started selling used books, too. They have always had some sections of toys for young kids and puzzles and games for older kids or kids at heart.
