A wooly worm with a stripe......

I don't know the accuracy of the wooly worm but some people believe the stripe is an indication of  future winter conditions.  I don't know which that it is, whether it is a hard winter, or maybe it is an easy winter. Oh yes, I did have to look up the spelling for this fuzzy insect.  The neighbor's seem to have the worms with all cream coloring, no stripe.

Thanks for stopping by............

I had never heard of this worm's weather predicting abilities until your blog today. It was quite interesting to read about on google. Apparently there is even a wooly worm festival in NC each Oct.!!!!!

I'm in NC and lots of folks swear by this means of forecasting but I'm not convinced.
