I have put three coats of spar varnish on this frame to make it look like basketball floor maple. The photo is a lot blurry but I like that you can read the reverse of an advertisement on a newspaper off the side of the frame.
Here is another photo to tease you with sharing a little of what I have been working on to frame this Frank Miller cartoon. I am a day away of assembling the whole thing. I have to wait for the last coat of varnish to dry before I put it together. Forty eight hours is a long time to wait but the resulting finish was worth the wait.
I had the day off today but will be back to work on Thursday and Friday. I will explain the cartoon and its meaning soon. Thanks for stopping by today.
