Friday's Findings.........

These two keep changing in color as the start to die back. Storms on Thursday was hard on them.

I have another set of daffodils growing here next to the basement door.  They are doing well despite of the severe heat we had on Wednesday.

The birch and the river birch both are setting up these seed formations ready to leaf out for the summer. The spiral things are called catkins.  They are a form of flower without petals. In fact they describe this as a spiral flower. Mine should be off the trees soon and nice green leaves will follow.

This is as close as I can get in taking a photo of the deep colors of the wild violet.  In the shade they look much darker in color but I know they probably are the same color everywhere.  I am a physical education instructor today.  It is good if thy instructor doesn't insist the kids play an aggressive game.  Lots of time I just over rule his decision and they play basketball.  It is more peaceful than some of the other things that they play.  Thanks for stopping by today.
