Monday's Beginning.......
Yesterday was a very hot miserable day. Today it is to be cooler. We won't hit 90 degrees F. until about four o'clock this afternoon. The wind did not really cool yesterday's temps as it was said the heat index was about 100 degrees. The central air worked great and was very appreciated.
The kitchen sink bouquet are peonies that were either too short for a big vase or had been just a bud. The pink bud did bloom there next to collection of empty vases.
The chest of drawers photo that I share yesterday shows the chest having its back decoration piece attached to it. I had the piece off of the chest as we had a tv on top of it in our bedroom and the decoration back kept the tv from being pushed back away from the front edge. I kept sharing photos of it laying around or leaning against a wall. I had to find some screws to reattach it. This should conclude me rattling on about it for now.
An impromptu arrangement is on it right now as I pull things from boxes. As things get sorted like things will be put away in different drawers of this chest.
I bought the mug at a garage sale. I think it has cracks in it but I liked the gold decoration and design on the mug. Somewhere in the boxes are the bottom glass lanterns that belong to the two flus in the background. The pewter pieces are 40 years old. Pewter is so impractical as things that lay against it will distort it shape instantly. I tossed a bowl piece that had a permanent dent in it from some unfortunate storage situation.
This box was packed together 30 years ago when the boys had grown up from small toys. I remember putting it together, emptying out a drawer. There are also matchbox toys in the pile too. I will be photographing some of these things as I continue the sorting and I should say tossing.
Another busy day is planned but hopefully not to stressful. I have to get the outside work done early in the day.
Thank you for stopping by today.

Pretty vase of peonies. I love the chest of drawers. We once had a curio that had a piece attached on top and each time we moved, we would misplace it! lol Fun to see the toys in the box. I bet your grandsons would love some of those items. Glad your pace has slowed down some and you can take it a little easier.
I like your chest , you have lot's done. With much to do in the yard.
There in the mid south we have not hit the 90's yet but it is coming.
Sounds like summer has visited you! :)
Yikes it's hot all over, even in Nashua, NH this week where we also hit over 90 degrees.
