This is just a spot to visit, of one who is on a journey. You can see my projects, plants, family, pets, artworks, antiques and anything else that comes along.

Saturday specials........
I have no hope of seeing anything sprouting up outside for quite some time, but Kmart helped me get a start on spring. The paperwhites were pretty well sprouted before I planted them. They are now greening up nicely.
Sharing is the name of the game. The end woodpecker is definitely a Hairy Woodpecker. He is the size of a robin and has a longer beak that a Downey. The wind is blowing the snow from the east, can you see it in motion? We had a light snow on Friday, all day, with about a couple of inches of snow.
I have broken out of my rut and am now painting again. This is the second day of work on this particular canvas and I have a few more days to go. I am thinking of starting a new one tomorrow and letting this one gel for a while.
I also have started work on my commercial blog in order to sell artwork and prints and photographs. It isn't in to the selling mode yet, but I am getting closer. I may have to consolidate my two blogs together if I can't maintain them. My wife says I shouldn't shut either one done, but a third blog is going to be an extension of what my creative zone was intended to be.
This retirement stuff gets confusing and finding my way is slow. I will decide maybe after I have tried to keep all three up and running. I do need time to paint and spring is coming and I have an outside to take care of, so it will be a wait and see decision.
Thanks for stopping by...........

I see the cardinal is still a regular a t the feeder
Hi. I wandered into here from .....erm, somewhere else - not sure where I was due to a flu-induced fog brain, but I've really enjoyed reading all your posts. I liked your finials too!
Hi Larry,
I hope you'll show the your paperwhites when they bloom, they're one of my favorites.
Glad you're out of your rut, love your barn and silo painting. Looking forward to seeing more.
Since the job market has been so bad and forced me to become semi-retired, I feel like a fish out of water after years of working. I have to keep busy!
Sunny :)
We ask a lot of ourselves sometimes. You'll have to see how it goes with three blogs to maintain. I got out of my depth so had to change. Love the paperwhites, they look really healthy. Can't wait to see the final blooms. My Christmas Poinsettia is still growing, I've never known one takes so long to grow. Maybe it will make it for Easter! Good luck with the painting.
Seems like the spring is beginning to stir with you, despite the snow. Paperwhites and painting and commercial opportunities. It must take a while to find your way after being in a full-on job. I must say I'm looking forward to it, tho - eventually!
Don't overstretch. Time is all we have to control.
This was the first winter of my husband's retirement. It has been an adjustment after many years of working and routines. Hopefully warm weather and spring will help everyone out of their ruts.
Creating a blog is the easy (fun) part. Shutting one down is next to impossible.
Oh you can do it no problem..who needs all that sleep anyway? Seriously..I have three blogs and I just do what I can do..your readers will wait...not everyone is an idiot like me or you and posts everyday:)
Loved the shot of the Cardinal and the woodpecker together!!
and, love, love the painting! I am so glad you are doing it again.
