Saturday....A New Deal.

The oxalis are glad that they didn't have to feel the frost last night.  They are inside now and will enjoy the south window sunlight. Some of the flowers are not focused in the photo but the leaves are important in this photo. I viewed a photo in National Geographic and saw out of focused seagulls in the foreground of the grand panoramic ocean shoreline.  Those who make a living taking photos just don't always get it all in focus.

The mandevilla is also inside and it is continuing to bloom.  The plant was slow to start to even put out buds during the summer and now it is giving me great fall colors.

I am home now for good from my teaching job.  I finished it yesterday and can now take care of the plants better.  I will get back to a scheduled  time to water them and can actually sit by them and blog now. I lost African violets over that ten week period.

My days of being a substitute teacher are now finished.  I broke ties with it all on Friday with only a few tears. The kids knew I was temporary and the grandpa of the school has now left the building.  I actually left with more positive thoughts and experiences, more than when I left back int 2008 from full-time teaching. I picked up some fresh writing skills with sentence structure and the new computer will continue to check  my spelling. The kids really were all good to know and I have some really good memories of them. I actually had taught in classrooms the past five years making me able to know all of the students in high school through 7th grade.

My wife and I now have to redefine ourselves and move on to a less restricted life style. We will have time now to make new plans and find new things to do.  I won't have to set the alarm clock anymore and with the time changed back to normal we can wake up to daylight.

Maybe I can have time to take new photos for my blogs.  It will be nice to have new and fresh material on my posts.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Full retirement means that you're busier than ever...just not teaching. You will enjoy retirement. I've been retired 19 years and I haven't got tired of it yet!

All the best with the new chapter of your life. Sounds like your time was good and well spent at the school.
