Sycamore Trees......

Across the street are two older sycamore trees.  They have very large leaves that fall later in the season.  Sometimes they are not down until the snow falls.  When you see this large leaf on top of the snow you know what kind of tree that it s. The bark on these two isn't so white as some of these kinds of trees are. We see a couple of trees like this in a timber along our highway as we travel towards Des Moines. The trunks of those trees are almost bleached out white in appearance.

I picked up my one eared squirrel from a bunch of leaves along the patio.  The two seem to be getting reacquainted before I take them to the basement.I have a new layer of leaves to mow in the next few days. I know that it happens this way each year but I wish that it didn't.

Looking through the openings of the gate and lattice the second burning bush is showing off its color.  The leaves are so small from that shrub that I usually don't worry about raking them or mulching them.

I made it to the lumber yard this afternoon so I have more wood to use to make things.  I won't share anything about that at this point as I haven't created the designs for the wood yet.   It seems like it is a long week but I guess Thursday is coming.  I wish everyone well in bogland and thanks for stopping by today.
