Sunday’s Afternoon Sharing Time.....

Our granddaughter is so precious and sweet. She seems so tiny but she is only six weeks old. She is such a little bundle to hold.

Grandma and I took turns holding Ella.  We had some boys to hold also who are going up fast on us.

Teddy is three years old now and he is so energetic. This was a quiet moment for him as he played with his truck. He likes to bounce around, dancing really and running circles in the house.  Always smiling with joy.
AJ is six years old plus now too.  He has grown up fast and has so many things on his mind. He got a new Lego thing that he spent time building on the dining room table.

We had a great time visiting with the parents and meeting Ella for the first time. She is an alert little girl that smiles a lot at most people around her. It has been a while since we had a small grand baby and she is so sweet.

We traveled the six hour trip out and got a hotel that was only five miles away from their home in Arlington Heights, Illinois. We visited them Friday evening with grilled salmon supper and also then the Saturday morning. We were treated royally with great meals and it was hard to leave on Saturday afternoon.  Our trip home to Iowa was good, as we just added a lot of stops along the way. It took a lot longer with all the stops but it made it more bearable. We stopped the last time for hot fudge sundaes and coffee for me to keep alert.

We watched thunderstorms as we traveled home but didn’t get into bad weather.  As we passed the NASCAR track at Newton, Iowa they were just starting to race at 9:00 at night. It was delayed because of the lightening that they had earlier.  It really is strange to see a lighted up stadium race track that big in Iowa plus all the windmills all along the interstate highway. We had the storms but they had passed before we returned home.  Our only damage was the hollyhocks were all blown down to the ground from the storm.  It didn’t make the news like some broken up trees did but we were not in bad shape.   Thanks for stopping by the post today.

Hi Larry & Della, Thank you so much for sharing your grandchildren. They are all precious and such a blessing. Ella is so dainty but very alert. The boys have grown so much. It's fun to learn about their personalities and interests. Thankful you had safe travel but I am sorry about your hollyhocks. That ice cream sundae and coffee sounds like a great treat on the way home.
