Carnatons....


 

I remember that the first carnations that I ever saw were the ones people woreon their robes on graduation day. They were always white and sometime there was a little red flecks on the tips of the middle petals. Later on the carnations were white ones but were dipped in dye.  Sixty years have passed and now they are bred in colors.

They used to dye the tips to match what ever you wanted them to:)
