The blooms keep coming........

The color and the smell is wonderful in my yard right now.  I sometimes have allergic reactions to these things or a form of asthma.  Each spring it is different for me health wise.  I guess the mowing of the yard is the most damaging to my lungs but that too is varied from year to  year.

I am in the art room again today.  Students were frustrated that their teacher left before the end of the year so they were a little bit testy with me.  So far today they are being a lot better and will survive the change.  I told them that the teacher replacement is coming in a few days so they need to get use to change one more time.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

A Showing of Progress..........

Our temperatures have dropped back to our normal range but we still are way ahead of our season by a few weeks.  The forsythia will be gone soon but the red bud is starting to open to take it's place.  The sedum looks like small cabbages when they first come up and they stay green for a large part of the fall season.

I am giving tests in the Spanish room this morning.  It is day two back to school and I think I can get back into the groove of this job.  Yesterday I was the shop teacher.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Weathered Warriors.....

The zinnia patch is failing as the stems start to fall over and the bugs are doing their best to find food to eat on the petals.

The tattered petals are evidence of strong winds and now the maturing of the flower to it's seed stage.

The sedum looks spent but I think that it has yet to bloom.  We will see in the next couple of weeks as to it's future.  We were down to 39 degrees last night and our days will hover around the 70's.

The weekend is here and we are off to do some errands with the neighbor in Boone, Iowa.  It is more fun when we know she is having so much fun.  Walmart, Fareway and the Pizza Ranch are on the agenda today.  It is nice to have Saturday off for some free time events.

Have a good day and thanks for stopping by................
