Friday's Findings.....

The pot of chives are well traveled and are doing well on the stairs in back. We have some already growing in the ground on the property so we have plenty for baked potatoes.

We had not been seeing any doves in our area.  I realized while mowing the other day that they are feeding on the ground below the feeder that is above the deck. I don't know why this one dove chose to sit on the deck railing but he had his picture snapped by two people because of it.
I do plan to put out a tray feeder of some sort. One neighbor has nothing his yard but vegetable garden so I feel a little junky when I put stuff out in the yard.  It won't stop me.

I noticed a few days ago that my neighbor to the southeast has a sock feeder up in one of his trees.  I guess he thinks it would be nice to see more of our state bird. He also has a shiny sports car in his third garage that I have only seen through and open side door.  I won't be copying him on that as I don't have three garages.  The neighbors up and down on our side of the street were built by a good builder.  Each house looks different in some way and yet are mostly similar. Some of them have a second story on them but in the most part they are the same.  Jumping down the row two houses there is a brick faced house that is exactly like our house. Because of their third garage there is a small change in the roof line but I bet the floor plan is exactly the same. Everyone has different sizes of lots as the road took a curve up the hill. My one neighbor says he calls his lot the wedge.

We did get a print hung in our entry way.  Things seem slow but today we get the flooring put into our office/studio room.  By noon we should be able to start moving things into that room.  We keep moving a desk and large bookshelf unit in and out of that room.  They sit in our bedroom now as it is a direct route across the hall and there is not corner turning possible for them.  I remember seeing delivery crew setting things on end to make a turn.  I won't ever be doing that anymore.

I mowed on two yards yesterday and did get the big town's yard mowed.  It really need it and looks better. Warm weather this afternoon and that will be good. I is Friday and the week passed quickly.  I wish everyone to have a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Sounds like you're getting acquainted with the neighborhood. My chives did not survive winter which is really odd. No sign of them this year. Have a good weekend.
