All of our creatures are wonderful. The sparrow is good at digging out the last of the seeds from all the cracks and crevis areas.
Can you tell which one is the young newly hatched mourning dove? The doves are said to have two or three nest fulls a season to expand their population.
They haven't developed all of the detail markings yet so they look like long smooth necked birds. They quit stretching out their necks once they become more secure about what is going on in the world. The seem to keep looking out with their necks to look at the things around them.
The former owner planted both of these plants. The purple keeps invading and the coral bells struggle to keep its footing because if the spreading. I do go in and tear out some of it after they bloom.
I can get blooms on this but it just doesn't want to climb. I am doing some work for it and am pulling vines up, connecting them to the trellis.
The season for roses has starated. The have never looked so good for years. It is amazing how normal rainfall can help. I had a lot of winter kill on my roses but they are coming back strong.
We have moved into summer hot weather. It makes it hard to know how not to wear a coat everywhere. I am amused to see how people show up at the grocery store in various seasonal wear. The flip flops haven't been brought out yet but all lengths of shorts are being worn. With are having ever changing weather though and some people show up and freeze on their way to the store. Then I show up with long sleeves on an 80 degree day. It will be 74 degrees F. by the time we go to church this morning. Jackets really are too much on these days. It is good to see the sun today as we were cloudy and smokey all day yesterday. This is a confusing paragraph but that seems to be my season also, of confusion
Thanks for checking in.
