Tuesday Things.........

I do not know the duck in which this figurine is to resemble but it is neat little bird.  I don't know if this is a shovel tail or not.

If I get the energy and time available I may look it up.  I was going through my toy and other collectibles cupboard and was shooting a few photos.  I was taking shots of a few wild fowl, car models and antique toy soldiers.  When it is too dark at night to take photos and too cold to be outside anyway,  I have to look for a new variety of things to shoot.

I shared my two cadillac models on my Photo a Day blog today.  I bought for a dollar and the price tag is still on it. I like how all the doors and hood lift up on the model. The seat covers are probably the true design and colors used back then.  In 1957 this design of car evolved for a while with all the fins and wide front grille.

It is possible to see these real cars driving down the road once in a while. Mostly they are being driven to car shows. They seemed like a big boat compared to the size of cars today.  The modern Cadillac is design to look like a space vehicle or a tank.

We had a light snow last night.  It came very slowly but I had an accumulation on my car windshield this morning. It is back in the freezer again and the wind chills are awful.  I am not adjusting to the winter this year very well.  I guess it is just Iowa.  Thank you for stopping by today.  Everyone stay warm.

We are not adjusting too well either. It seems so very cold! We got a little snow yesterday enough to make side roads slick:(

Enjoy that Cadillac model, Larry, it might even be valuable to a collector. Among my late mother's things, I found a 1957 dealer's model car, an Edsel. It was just a toy friction car i the original box, but unlike yours the hood and doors did not open. Long story short is that I sold it on eBay for over $60 as I had no interest in keeping it and someone else wanted it, which was OK with me. We also had a slight 3 inches of snow in Nashua.
