Rain is a Good Thing....

The colors and texture make this a special tulip variety.  I cleared out a lot of creeping phlox to enable it to emerge successful. I have eight of these blooms which means I bought that many in a package and they are all still blooming.

I still have creeping phlox. I just don't need it to be everywhere. I have on section where it has died out naturally. The flower has a lot of small thorn-like growths on it to make it hard to use bare hands to work with it.

I discovered through observation of the photographs that this yellow and red variety, Rembrandt, is not the same as the new one that I planted elsewhere.

I have taken too many shots of these tulips but one can see that this variety has more red than yellow color on it.  the colors on both varieties are my favorites.

My fence builders did not come today as we have rain.  It isn't continue but their are groups of clouds that will be overhead for the most of the day. I was impressed with the desk manager when she called as she didn't want me to be mad about it or hope that I wouldn't be willing to wait another day.  It isn't like a package being delayed but it is a crew that can only work in good weather. The fence will happen when it happens. I guess she thought I might have plans for tomorrow.  It is a southern Iowa, small town location, and I have to say it was Iowa nice for a change.

Thanks for stopping by today.
