4th.......of July.

While picking flowers from the old place I now have to go digging for something to put them into with water.  Last time it was and old plastic pitcher that was headed for the dumpster.  It worked well but I didn't take it back with me.  The Christmas vase was in the dumpster wastebasket, ready to go to the dumpster. I saw on it a label revealing that it had been in a garage sale and it didn't sell.

The ditch lily blooms are just now opening. There are a lot of buds this year as the rains gave them what they needed to develop well. The field lilies are so invasive that I am not certain that they will come to the new place.

The  former owners must have planted their Easter lilies and here again is a photo of them in bloom. I have one bulb I will take down there and get it planted for next year. They were a surprise for me to see as they have no other kind of lily planted on the place.

This photo is one of our view down the street.  The houses at the end of the street do lay true north and south.  The curve up the hill does make it into a good looking street.  My true south location then is aligned with the house at the end of the street.  It sits directly across the road intersection. The north side of the house facing me.

No big plans for today.  We have most all of our art work now hung in our basement art gallery.  We gave Barney a summer trim this morning and later I watered all of the garden areas.  It is going to be the same kind of afternoon with us both resting through the afternoon.  Hot dogs and chili sauce for supper with chips and potato salad.  It is almost a perfect resemblance ofr a 4th picnic.  I wish you all a great day off today.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Blessings to you both this Fourth of July. What a lovely neighborhood. First time I have noticed the sidewalks to walk on. I love those lilies, too. Your plans for dinner later sound delicious to me. Looks like we are due for rain this afternoon.

Belated holiday greetings, Larry. It is indeed a day of rest and those dinner plans sound similar to our own meal of hot dogs, coleslaw, and a tomato salad. Thanks for a view of your neighborhood. It looks like you will have many new neighbors there.
