Going to the desert.....

The Botanical center has a lot of humidity and heat, but they still grow and display an area as if it is in the desert.  I suppose they have tried the succulents and cactus to see what can live with no water but lots of humidity.  The century plant that was in the group for so many years was gone.  It was so large for so long, but when it bloomed, it of course died, which is what it is suppose to do.

This unusual cactus was displayed in a terra cotta pot. They may move it in and out to keep it alive.

Among the cactus was this plant, which must be a desert plant. It had these great blooms on it.  I will be showing the Crown of Thorns plant tomorrow in my Photo a Day blog.

I hope that all of you are well.  Keep up the strength and thanks for stopping by.......

What a lovely collection of plants and cactus, I can almost feel the warmth of the greenhouse.
The snow is slowly beginning to melt, it is almost gone down in the valley. Up here on the mountain, it will take a bit longer.
