Friday's Findings......

I may make an exception and dig this daylily to bring to the new home.  I have dug a couple of others early in the spring but I had decided to not move the whole collection.  I maybe could buy new special ones for the new place. The size of these blooms are much larger than the normal ones.

"Little Buddy" got moved a few days ago from out of his lonely corner.  I had not idea how much the dogwood will grow out and he was being overcome by the invasion. He now sits closer to the clematis.

My surprise to find this set of blooms helped me to realize that I needed to keep the dogwood bushes cut back away for this vine. The previous owner had apparent cut back all seven of the bushes as they were small compared to the fence and now they are spread out and much taller than the fence.  I have read articles in garden magazines where they cut the red twig dogwood shrub down to the ground every year. I could do that every few years but I really like seeing the red twig branches against the snow.

I did get the paintings moved out of the garage. They were paintings that I had done 30 years ago.

They did make it to the top of the stairs and they are now at the lower level.  They will be hung maybe later today. I am still amazed as to how the two walls worked out to be such a great gallery space. We are down to just about four boxes and a plastic bin to empty. The furniture has yet to find exact places to be in the lower level but having all the boxes gone will help out a lot.

I will close with another shot of the coneflowers and their friends.  There is a black eyed Susan yet to bloom that will fill in that background space.  I watered everything early this morning after the very hot and humid day that we had on Thursday. Thank you for stopping by today.

Your paintings are lovely. So happy you have wall space for displaying your work.
I love your flowers. We have 2 newer black eyed Susans that are almost ready to bloom. We have had fun tonight watching a moon flower open on the vine.
Have a good evening. Hope you both have a blessed Sunday.
