Saturday's Views........

Looking north on Cadillac Mountain which sits on Mt. Desert Island one can see Bar Harbor down below along the shore.

Rappellers are descending this large rock while the one guy is standing watch at the top.  If you were a new learner, this would be a pleasant place to practice. Click on the photo to get a closer look.

It is a busy life but thanks for stopping in to see my blog.

They must have nerves of steel to do this...
We used to watch climbers repel down the side of rocks in Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs. Without any harnesses whatsoever, just the strength of their hands and feet, it totally amazed us.
What an awesome view, over the harbour !
Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Here's my opinion.....those guys are nuts!

I'd never do that...just looking at the rocks that have already broken off is enough to scare me away! ;D

I am a flat footed, flatland Finlander..that scene makes my knees queasy..no thanks..I am not sure that I could watch anyone going up and down those rocks either. That first view is stunning! :)
