Checking Out for Today.......

This is another photo of the lagoon lakes of the town of our old place. The photo does show the rolling plains of Iowa as you see the trees and pastures in the background. I noticed now that the cornfield in the background has not been harvested. The weather is holding out for the farmers to get it done.  To the right of that pump houise is the large pile of tree limbs and lawn debris.

The cattle and horses sometimes are right out there next to the dump site. This shot of the livestock show them feeding in an area where hay bales had been scattered. I had shared a photo yesterday but the second horse and one cow on the left were not in the photo.

I have taken this shot for years of the hosta growing behind the trolls. The frosts that we have had caused some wilting.  It shows that winter is really on its way. I have been spending some time in the yards cleaning and clipping things down. The garden is now in its ugly stage as eventually all gets covered with snow. There is an antique rose that grows near here that I have yet to collect a sample. It is a rose that has been on the property probably the early years of the house in the 1900's.

It is Saturday and that is good. I do more fun things on Saturday then the typical work thing.  Playing is fun.  I hope all are doing well and everyone has a good weekend. Thanks for checking in today.
