Easter Sunday Morn.....

The cloud ridge did stay and we did get some snow for a while this morning.  It is cold out there for this spring morning. We started off at 30° this morning.

The morning doves came to eat a little but mostly they just wanted to perch on the feeder porch.  They stay for quite awhile and then they fly off to a fence to sit on for awhile more.

I really like the hyacinths. They seem to be later coming up but the tulips that they are growing among have not buds at this proint.

While the turkey vultures were soaring around this bird also was out and about.  I at first confused it as one of the vultures but its not the same kind of bird.  For as crude as the vultures look they have a beautiful way of soar and flying on the wind currents.  I suppose there could have been a squirrel that was hit by a car a few streets over that brought all the meat eating birds into the area.

It is a stray bunny verses a ceramic cartoon rabbit situation.  One craft store gave to me free the straw bunny as a reward for spending a lot of money there.  We have had the ceramic rabbit for so long that I don't even know the details of its history.

We watched an Easter service of television this morning and have no big plans for the rest of the day. We both need the day to rest.  Thanks for checking in today.

Our Easter celebration was a quiet one spent at home as well. We walked downtown to a local church for services, then watched the film Easter Parade before enjoying a ham dinner at home.
