Tuesday's Thoughts.......and Things.

I don't miss this.  I was an art teacher for 35 years and this is what it looks like at the sink of the art room.  You can not get around the mess as students just don't get things clean.  When I student taught in a Des Moines school I had a supervising teacher, old in age,  who stood over every student and watched them wash the tools of the trade.  There would not be enough time in the day for that many years for anyone to stand over people unless you were a paid person working in a jail. I have been away from the art room sinks for seven years now and I repeat that I don't miss this.

The look of clutter comes with the territory also.  It use to be my classroom and now I don't have to worry about it.

There is a contest in the country where students can enter photos of their sneakers that they have painted.  The designs by students can be quite complicated.  The person who painted these said she was going to wear them. I told here to stay out of the rain and snow.

My frustration with artificial trees continue.  I took out the second small tree and the stand on the bottom of it also is broken.  In a different way as this one had the base fit into a hole of a weighted conatainer.  The plastic of the hole gave out and I can't get the tree to stand straight.  The bubble lights will be placed in a box this year and given the season off.

The two trees could be saved if I could invent something differently for them to be held on or in.  They won't get my attention this year.

I bought a 20 buck tree for my wife's teddy bears and that worked out great.

We had the new tree up and decorated in less than 30 minutes.  It was a nice addition to replace the older tree. The spirit of the tree is fun to see and have in the room. I have thought in the past that an antique toy tree would be nice to have.  One would have to wire the toys to the trees to keep them on the branches.

No work for me today and that is good.  I have things to do and places to be.  I hope all are well.   Thank you for stopping by today.

We had a bad base in one of our trees, we bought a new base that works just fine half price after Christmas last year. I love the bubble lights:)

I am glad the new tree works well for you. Those teddy bear eyes are so sweet peeking through the branches!

I can sympathize with how you don't miss the art room mess. I feel that way about cooking these days!!!
