Happy New Year.....

The camel is an unusually shaped animal. I like these non-glazed, bisqueware ones. There are two of these in the creche and we now have two of them made of olive wood. The plastic one in our major creche display makes it five camels in total.

I purchased the figures of Mary, Joseph and the baby back in 1973. They were at a flower shop in Sidney, Iowa where lots of great things were on sale plus flowers. The camels were acquired with a purchase of a kiln a few years back. The owners wanted everything to go and the camels were mine for sure.  The camels were intended to be glaze painted and fired again but I always liked them in their fired bisque form. The adding of the camels really made the set more complete.

I did complete the cleaning of my 20 gallon tank and everything is placed back in it. The fish went back in yesterday and they seem to really like it. I must have gotten the water conditions just right as no fish died.

We had a great meal at the China Moon last night. The food is always great and the service is so good. It was a great way to start our new year. We will have a quiet day today with no plans. Thanks for stopping by today.
