Tuesday.....Too Cold.

It was -14 degrees F.(-25 C.) this morning. I have experienced colder in Iowa but this temp is cold enough. By the time I blog we have warmed up to 10 degrees F.  It is a 24 degree change and it isn't a heat wave.

At the top of the stairs a new batch of decorations are being readied to head to the storage room. I like red and this Santa is such a good thing. I like the gold cane that he carries along with the teddy bear in his back sack. The braids of gold turn this into a fancy ornament.

Normally I wouldn't do this but I wanted to share a back view of it. The gold decoration on the hood adds to its special appeal. The white fur reminds me of my first winter coat as a kid.

I think the blanket on this camel is such a stunning addition to the olive wood carving. It is a woven strip that works well for the blanket replica.

The poinsettia is shedding its leaves. I lose one each day as it continues to survive in our dry warm interior climate. I did walk to get the mail this afternoon and it was safe. I don't think any outside project will happen anytime soon. I have some reindeer statues that need to be carried down the hill for storage but that can wait for a warmer day.

Thanks for stopping by today.
