This is the before picture of two days ago. It was time to start taking down tree number one. Four more trees to be taken down now.
This is the after photo of the chest of drawers without the Christmas tree. I enjoy this old chest of drawers and admire its design of the late 1900s.
The chest of drawers is made of walnut and was given to me in parts. Straps held it all together and it had to be glued and nailed back together. The five drawers were all in good shape and the carved walnuts and leaves forming the drawer pulls were also not damaged. With a lot of work it was all put back together. I admire it for its design of old furniture and also the history I do admire. I find pieces like this for sale saying they were made in 1890s.
Our gifted pumpkin has been sent down to the basement. It looks good with my curb side find chair. I want to collect the seeds from it and try to grow one vine from it. I will eventually cut it open and dry out the seeds when I get around to it.
We woke up to 7 degrees F. this morning. It is bone chilling no matter what the number is. I guess we are predicted to have strong winds and we may miss the storm that is going on south of us.
Thanks....

Get the seeds out of the pumpkin before it starts to shrivel and wrinkle or the seeds won't be very good.
I did the same with my favorite pumpkins this year!
Your place looks amazing!
