Sunny and Cloudy Hot Day.......

It is 91 degrees F. and the humidity is very high.  Seeing fluffy white clouds seems to be unusual with  all the heat.

Clear looking and hot on this sunny Sunday. One really can’t stay outside for very long with their furry dog.

The petunias have enough moisture underground as they look good in the heat. I will still water them this evening, I can’t say it will cool off for that.  We were still at 80 degrees F. at three AM and it cooled down to 76 by early morning.

All the photos taken today were done this afternoon so  I had to wipe all the fog on the lens.  The camera felt like an ice cube when it was in hand in comparison to the air temperatures.  I am hearing that it isn’t not unusual for everyone feeling this heat.

We ate out for our anniversary and had great Italian food.  It is an old traditional Italian place with the third generation family running it.  The locals of the area of Beaverdale support the place and even the Mayor of Des Moines was there eating right next to us at a table with family.  We dated at this place 35 years ago and it has always been a good place to eat.  My lasagna came out to the table in a large bowl.  The squares of pasta was filled in with cheese and sausage all around it and then was baked into on large presentation. I brought a lot of it home as we had a wonderful salad and onion rights before the main dish was started.

Father day’s greeting on FaceTime today from the oldest son and wife with the boys just happen a few minutes ago.  I will hear from the younger son who lives in Maine later in the evening. Their time frame is two  hours earlier than ours so I guess he calls in the night.  It has been celebrations of anniversary and Fathers day for two straight days.  We will settle down to a quiet evening and be tired.  I thank you all for stopping by today.

Belated anniversary wishes to you and your wife, Larry. The red roses looked lovely and the photo will last much longer than the flowers (sadly). Eating out at a favorite restaurant is always good and so are leftovers! We also like onion rings and always are on the lookout for the best places...the hunt continues, which is the fun part too. Hope you get some relief from the summer heat wave. We're also getting warmer here in NH!
