Rustic and very old but it still looks good. I moved it away from a tree that will be cut down soon. I moved it from the old place where it hung from an apple tree. The birds don't like it so much as the hole is too big for nesting.
While cutting zinnias to take inside I had two of these butterflies visiting the blooms. I would have thought that two nights of frost and freezing that they would be gone.
My glass jar was an old milk bottles from years gone by. I have two of them and they work well for flowers like this. The zinnias are almost all spent but I did get this good cutting.
While out yesterday working in the yard I found another healthy hardy geranium that I had to rescue. Having good buds and leaves means I do have to plant it in a pot and take it inside.
I found a red metal bucket with a plastic liner that really did fit the bill for these two plants. I think they went into shock having rich potting soil on their roots.
One lone marigold was in bloom and I just had to take a shot of this. I think it is the only one of this color among all the other marigolds of different colors.
I removed my screen barriers around my tomato plants and this guy was immediately in it this morning. He was upset that I was out there picking tomatoes so he went up the hill and got away from me for awhile. If I get my act together I can clear the rest of the tomato plants now and put away everything. I had an appointment with my Endocrinologist nurse practitioner in the morning so I didn't get much work done this morning. I did spend an hour mowing when I got back. Tomorrow I will get stuff done with the full morning time to work. Thanks for stopping by today.
