Thursday's Things

A cold start in the morning with almost freezing temps. It did frost and freeze water even though the temp was at 34 degree F.

The full sunrise has to include my neighbor's house as the sun keeps shifting in the scene. We warmed up to a high of 59 F. today. It didn't seem so cold compared to that morning temp.

I had a few roses that just were not bothered by the cold. I am not sure if we will be so cold tomorrow morning.

The pink rose just keeps showing off with its new blooms. When things finally shut down on the rose I am going to prune back a lot to get it under control. It seems to be splaying all over this time of the year.

The new fence gives me a great background for the rose as it hugs the fence which probably keeps it warmer this time of the year.

The new knock out rose has a couple of buds yet to open. It hasn't done so well this summer as we went through drought again. If I had watered it better it would not have taken such a bad hit.

The knock out roses are ready for me to trim them back for the winter. I have it on my list to do but it will have to wait until next week. I  have a doctor's appointment in the morning and that seems to ruin the whole day.  I had to clear some brush, a bush, today so the people who are coming to take out one of my trees won't worry about damaging it. I just trimmed it to the ground.  I have the bid for the tree to be taken down but don'[t have a date as to when they are going to come to take it down. I will show pictures later of what that is all about. I didn't plant the tree and it has sprawled all over and has dead parts in it every year that needs to be trimmed out.

Thanks for stopping in today.
