Yellow..............

My famous trellis view again puts out a yellow hosta looking like it it in jail. The end is near for most everything in the hosta realm.

It has been a tough summer for the hostas as they were so vigorous at the beginning of the year then faced life without water.  The new rains brought them back and now the changing weather is finishing them off for the year.

The little wildflower blooms have been out all summer.  The stems finally have given out and they are laying on the ground now.  Another sprig of yellow leaves from the popular tree accents the fallen plant.

I finished up putting new storm window panels in the kitchen yesterday making those windows a lot less leaky keeping the heat in and the cold outside. It has been too windy to burn up my wood piles.  I suppose I can just wait until there is a perfectly quiet day to burn.  We get a lot of winds in the fall as the temperatures of the world keep moving around cooling the continent down for our wintery climate. Our high today will be in the fifties again today.  It hasn't been such a shock this year to be cold as we had some deep drops early in September and the cooler temperatures now actually feel like warmups.

I hope all are having a great day today and thanks for stopping by my post.

Pretty photos of late autumn today. Yesterday was very windy here. John was painting the front door and we were afraid leaves/dirt would blow into the wet paint!
