Sunshine Day.....

The newly sprouted vine has a couple of blooms. The major part died off from the drought but the newly formed vine is in recovery.

My neighbors were apparently gifted a pair of geese. They look just like mine but they are new.  We can now see geese in the front yards and my backyard.

Tomorrow I will cut off all of the dead blooms.  It may give me one more set of flowers before the frost. The lack of water has been hard on them and my watering schedule was not good enough to keep them going.

We could never see the willow tree when the large tree was growing in front of it.  Now that large tree has been removed we see.  We do have to be in the back yard to view it as the neighbor's house blocks it out.

Having taken shots out the front door this morning I looked up to see this.  It was a wedding gift to us back in 1984.  I removed it from the antique wooded door at the old place and attached it to the new door here.  The old house is not ours anymore but we have a lot of great memories. It made me smile to see the knocker there.

We left our sunroom and went out to sit on our deck this morning.  It kept the humming birds away while we soaked up some humid Iowa air and sunshine.  We are having cool nights now but we will like the afternoon temps.

Thanks for stopping by.......

Funny that your neighbors geese are just like yours. Now you can see them in any direction. They look so real. We are enjoying a touch of coolness in the air. The extreme heat killed our grass, just as well since our yard guy seemed tired of being paid to cut our grass! Lol. The door knocker is very nice and yes that would make me smile to see that. Lovely shot of the hummer.

Have to admit that here in southern Ontario we consider Canada Geese such a nuisance that we would never buy replica geese! Mind you with goslings they are cute,

I just remembered that we have a butterfly door knocker that has moved with us many times. I think john has it on his barn out back!
