Robin's Egg Blue.....

I had to remove a nest because of painting recently.  It was used and empty.  I watched these robins build this one again taking them about four days.  It is amazing what they do and how they make it. The old location was opposite of this one under the deck bracing.

The visiting goldfinch is a rare sight.  I put out a new one this morning hoping that the pair stick around a little longer. The sock has been out there for weeks but now that is about empty they showed up.

The female is decorated with brown blotches on the top of its back.  They sure grabbed seed and flew out very quickly.

The seed that falls onto the deck is enjoyed by the young house finch males. There wear a lot of young birds hatched by the house finch pairs this summer.

Thanks for stopping by today.

We see the goldfinches here too, but I didn't have the seed out for them. I'd love to see some house finches like yours!
We are enjoying the swallows along with orioles who are getting the fledglings ready to migrate.

Have a great weekend!
