Goodbye September....

Where did it all go? It is time to pick up and clean up all of the debris left by flowers and tomato plants. Leaves are starting to fall on my one maple tree and I see by the weather map that cold air is coming our way. The chipmunk is glad that I am feeding the birds again as he is up cleaning up the dropped seed.

It was pink clouds for the closing of the evening yesterday and we had a gentle rain during the night.
We had our flu shots today so we are prepared for combating that. We were exposed to a students cold on Sunday and my wife can feel that coming on now.

I am seeing the pelicans on our lake as they migrate south.  They stay for a while and feed before they complete their journey. The sea gulls come and go a lot so we don't know which ones are migrating. This photo is from the Minnesota trip.  We can see them soaring over our grocery store parking lot as they wish to find someones dropped  food like french fries on the drive. The colder it gets they do just disappear.

It is a gray day today and I can hear lawn mowers in the neighborhood working trying to keep up with the grass that keeps growing too fast.  Thanks for stopping by today.

I hope Della escapes the sore throat and cold. What ever it is is hard to get rid off, I am still coughing:)
